Implementation Bleeding
26th-Oct-2008 10:07 pm [am i pregnant?, implantation bleeding]
I'm confused if the bleeding that occurred was implementation or if it was my period. The bleeding lasted 5 days..and it sort of came into clots at times. Is that too long...5 days ? I took a pregnancy test two days after that, and it was negative.. but I figure it was too early to tell. Now my ovaries hurt a bit..but I'm not even sure if its that or just my stomach being weird. Has anyone gone through this before? and could my ovaries start hurting this soon after implementation? Thanks!

Implantation bleeding is usually a VERY small amount of blood.

implantation bleeding is usually a very small amount. 5 days of bleeding + clots sounds like your period. and getting a negative test following that fits that assumption. technically you should be able to test on the day of a missed period to get a positive. 6 days later, you more than likely would test positive if you're pregnant. i'm not sure what ovarian pain would have to do with any of it, unless you're ovulating now. in which case you wouldn't be pregnant. but anyway, sorry, it doesn't sound like you're pregnant.

My implantation bleeding was just a tiny amount of bright red blood.

Sounds like a period.

ditto to everyone else about the amount of blood. I probably only saw it because I was checking (unplanned pregnancy) to see if I had gotten my period yet.

Also, my ovaries never hurt after I was pregnant, I had cramping from my uterus expanding, though.

I had implantation bleeding, which at the time i thought was my period starting. Two days light spotting of darker blood then nothing. Had a positive preg test 5 days later.

My implantation bleeding was a smear of pink on toilet paper. What you had, plus the negative tests sounds like a period.
