Yep, gotten it on and off for a few weeks now (due dec. 10th). I've chalked it up to bigger, heavier boobs and sitting and standing differently to accomidate the belly.
A friend of mine who's a former-nurse-turned-yoga-teacher warned me about this exact thing. As your front gets heavier it rolls your shoulders forward and pulls on the muscles between your shoulder blades.
She recommended the stretch shown at the bottom of the page here:
Keep the muscles in your arm tense as you turn away from the wall, and you should feel the stretch in your upper back. I've done this a bunch of times and it feels really, really good.
I am 12 weeks, and I have pretty much constant back pain, but I also have back problems and I'm sure my ever-growing boobies aren't helping. I'm not sure how much I can really attribute to pregnancy...
YES. This is me. I try and switch from chair to birthing ball and back, and that helps a lot to cut it down, but honestly the only thing that's really been helping is laying down as much as possible.
I started seeing a chiropractor for it, and her adjustments helped some, but it came back again by the end of the night. I was so expecting back pain, but I thought it would be my low back.
I do. Mostly by the end of the day the muscles between my shoulder blades are smarting something fierce. A little icey-hot usually takes the edge off enough to sleep, though.
Pretty much everything from the base of my neck to my hips hurts. But the intensity of the pain seems to change as things progress. First trimester it was all lower back and sciatic pain, with only mild pain everywhere else. Second trimester was a lot of frontal rib cage pain, with only mild pain everywhere else. Now that I'm in my third, it seems to be all upper back/shoulder/neck pain, with only mild pain everywhere else. I'm not even sure if I can contribute it to bigger boobs, as they've haven't really exploded or anything. I think the second trimester pain was the worst for me though, I couldn't do anything about it =[

Lower back pain- forget it. It's constant.

Make sure you're using good back support when sitting and laying down, like with a pillow.
