round ligament pain caused by sneeze of death!
15th-May-2012 11:34 am [round ligament pain]
johnny
I know some of you will be able to relate...and as much as this sucked, I find it pretty funny.

Sneezing while pregnant is scary! I just had the worst episode of round ligament pain EVER after that one. And yet I find it funny and laugh as I fall out of my chair and roll about on the ground in horrid pain...?

I'm imagining the scene as a headline: "Sneeze of doom causes woman to roll on floor in agony while laughing at herself, passers-by wonder if insane".

Then again I laugh at myself when I stub my toe or burn myself on the oven too...maybe I'm just odd.

Has a sneeze done this to any of you? Haha... D: All ye who endure these pains have my sympathies.

Sneezing. Yawning too big. Coughing. Yes!! All of them cause pains. Sneezing is probably the worst. I've found if you know you're going to sneeze and you lean over a little bit it doesn't hurt, but geez....

the first time it happened while I have been pregnant I thought I actually hurt myself or something. THEY DONT WRITE ABOUT THIS IN BOOKS! haha

It freaked me out the first time too haha... most of my round ligament pain is pretty mild...a little tugging here and there while walking. But WOWZAH...sometimes it is all of a sudden and just smarts something fierce.

Standing up too fast or rolling over in bed the wrong way...seems like anything is fair game to cause it. D: argh!

I. Felt. Your. Pain. I was SO SCARED to sneeze that I assumed this position...that rivals the crouch you'd assume if someone was throwing a grenade at you. And I'd howl in pain when the position didn't save me from the pain that it caused.

"that rivals the crouch you'd assume if someone was throwing a grenade at you" HAHAHA yes....this will be me whenever I have to sneeze or cough from now on.

Sometimes lj needs a like button (this is coming from someone who bans all things facebook related :)

Oh yes me too! I have perennial allergies and have suffered from sneezing paroxisms since I was a kid (where you can't stop sneezing once you start). Now since being preg, Whenever I feel a sneeze approach I have to assume the foetal position STAT!

Would have only been topped off by wetting your pants. Hah! Laugh or cry... I prefer laughing! :).

Hahaha, well I'm only 21 weeks along right now... When I was further along (30+ weeks) in my first pregnancy I sneezed and it did make me pee myself a bit.

So this might just be a possibility for me yet!

I prefer laughing to crying too, but if I must cry, then I shall laugh while I cry!

Oh man. There were more than a few occasions I've sneezed in the past few weeks, and OMG, THE PAIN. I felt like everything in my abdomen was just gonna fall out of me!

And I've been kinda peeing myself sneezing...laughing...coughing--anything sudden. That's starting already--at 22 weeks! CRAP.
15th-May-2012 11:23 pm (UTC)
Oh, the things you can look forward to!!! :D
15th-May-2012 08:27 pm (UTC)
Also, JENSEN! yay

Back off, lady! I've had my eye on him since his DooL days! :) He's dreamy *sigH*

Not RLP but I have been known to pee myself during a coughing fit (I've got the head cold from hell and been coughing for weeks).
15th-May-2012 11:24 pm (UTC)
Seriously... the things we admit to each other on Lj. Hehehe

There's no dignity left when it comes to pregnancy! The worst was when I totally peed my pants while throwing up, my husband was positively horrified!
15th-May-2012 11:48 pm (UTC)
Oh god, D: poor you...

Although imagining the look on your husbands face is a little amusing.

It was funny looking back! After I was done losing my lunch, I simply said I needed to change my pants, he asked why cuz he was in the other room, and I was just like, "I sometimes have trouble holding my bladder..."
Yeah.

My husband has learned not to ask most of the time. On the rare occasion he does... I always reply with "DO you REALLY want to know?" His answer is always, "NO!" Hehehe
16th-May-2012 01:18 am (UTC)
I do the opposite while throwing up even when not pregnant. Hah.
16th-May-2012 01:36 am (UTC)
I've done that before, NOT pregnant, so at least you had an excuse LOL

What's awesome is sneezing - rlp - and leaking pee. And I'm only 13 weeks tomorrow. Yay for pregnancy!
I am sneezing all the time with this pregnancy too.
15th-May-2012 11:21 pm (UTC)
I gave up thinking I was going to sneeze out the baby at 12 weeks. Zyrtec. ugh. The sneezing has stopped, but I hate taking medication.
15th-May-2012 11:51 pm (UTC)
Yeah I take Zyrtec normally. Maybe it's the construction on the end of the building at work they are doing...
15th-May-2012 10:37 pm (UTC)
OMG. I hate that. The RL Pain was much worse around 20 weeks... now the belly itself tightens and I just pee myself if i sneeze by accident without warning. ha.

im 31w tomorrow.

Oh the woes of pregnancy. embarrassing for sure.
15th-May-2012 11:04 pm (UTC)
Haha, yes with the peeing thing. Yesterday I had just got dressed and realized I had to pee. I only made it to getting my pants off when I let out a sneeze. Ended up having to change my underwear.
16th-May-2012 12:57 am (UTC)
I'm so glad I'm not alone! I think I triggered a BH by sneezing this weekend and I get RLP from coughing!

Oh, and like everyone else, coughing sometimes makes me pee too. I guess it comes with pregnancy.
16th-May-2012 03:33 am (UTC)
I sneezed while driving today and the RLP (on both sides!) was so bad I yelped and my eyes started to water.
16th-May-2012 07:09 am (UTC)
Oh god, yes. Feels like being stabbed, huh? For me though, nothing was worse than the random nipple pain I suffered for the first couple months. Owchies!
16th-May-2012 08:34 am (UTC)
hahaha omg RLP sneezes are the worst!!!! I've only had one but holy crap I thought my belly had ripped open. Possibly hurt more than contractions did (although didn't last as long lol)
