Unexpected weakness.

freedom

I'll be 35 weeks on Tuesday; starting yesterday I've had little episodes where I feel dizzy and then extremely weak like I need to sit down right where I am. Anyone have experience with this near the end of pregnancy? It's not so bothersome that I feel the need to call my midwife since I have an appointment on Wednesday, just curious, I guess. My mom is an RN and suggested the baby was pressing on my aorta?
TIA!

Does it make you feel better if you eat something? Maybe your blood sugar is dropping. I have issues right now w/ my blood sugar dropping quickly so I have to eat some carbs every few hours.

I hadn't thought of that! I had low blood sugar episodes before I became pregnant so that makes sense, definitely. Something to ask my midwife; thanks!

Is it possibly dehydration? When I was about that far along with my son I had several times where I got very dizzy and lightheaded and had to sit down. Turns out I was getting a bit dehydrated even though I was drinking what seemed like gallons of water. This was in August though so it was crazy hot.

What has your blood pressure been like? I had random episodes of blood pressure troughs during both pregnancy. During those episodes I'd feel quite similar to what you described. I had to sit down or I'd faint and a couple of times when I tried to ignore it, I did faint.

I found as my uterus got very big (as it would be at 35 weeks) I didn't have room for much food, so I'd have to pick frequently at snacks. Otherwise my blood sugar level would drop and I'd feel pretty yuck then too.

I wish you good luck
