support belts
12th-Dec-2012 09:11 pm [support belt]
Hello there,
I'm 28 weeks along and my belly is getting quite large. I asked my doctor today if she thought a maternity support belt would be helpful to me and she yes definitely. I have been researching them at target and motherhood maternity on line, but I'm not sure which one to go with..especially since you can't try them on and they come in a box. I need something with a lot of support because I always feel as though I am going to fall forward. Has anyone had any luck with any of them, or had a bad experience one?

Thanks a bunch,

- a very tired achy mom to be.

I went through a couple different styles until I found a great one. I had terrible back pain and my hip joints loosened up to super painful. The support belt helped a ton. I like this one that had a back support and a separate strap for the front. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=10813242 I also liked how adjustable it is, since I normally wear a size 18 and it still worked for me. I had a horrible time with ones that were just a simple strap around with velcro, they would wad up and never supported much. Good luck!!!

oh my gosh you poor thing! Thank so much for the advice, I will go with that one then. Its hard because there are a bunch of different ones and you just have to guess which would be best. I'm nervous how big I'll be at 40 weeks when at 28 almost 29 i'm measuring big and they think it could be because I have fibroids, and my belly was a bit bigger pre-pregnancy.
