I am new to this community, so I thought I would start with a little introduction. My name is Mary, I have been married for a little over a year now and we are expecting our first baby September 17th, putting me at 36 weeks pregnant. We are expecting to have a little girl, and we *think* we are ready for her arrival! As a matter of fact, we are getting the car seat installed tomorrow!
Now, so this isn't just an introduction post, I do have a question for you all.
I called my labor and delivery nurse this afternoon and described to her the back pain I have been having for the past couple of days. She believes its my sciatic nerve, and told me to either take Tylenol or use a heating pad. Well, I refuse to take Tylenol everyday, sorry. I am getting a heating pad tomorrow. My question is for you ladies that are dealing with, or dealt with the sciatic nerve pain. What did you guys do in order to be able to function throughout the day? I work at a preschool (infant/toddler), and it is super hard to do much of anything.
Any advice would be wonderful! I understand you guys aren't doctors, but maybe you have a trick up your sleeve that really helped you through the pain.
