Anyways, to my question. Lately I have been experiencing these sharp pains. The only way I can describe it is like someone is suddenly punching or pushing down quickly and harshly on the bottom of my cervix. The pain is strong enough to jolt me and make me go weak in the knees, but thus far I have yet to fall (thank goodness!). I have read a bit of information on braxton hicks contractions, and though this isn't what anyone has described in any of the forums that I have read, I have read that braxton hicks contractions can be different for every person and for every pregnancy. I was just wondering if this sounds like a braxton hicks contraction or not. It is something I plan on bringing up to my doctor of course, but I was just curious as to if this is something that I should bring up at my appointment on Wednesday or earlier than that.
The pains happen most frequently when I am at work. I work retail full-time and have to be on my feet for several hours of the day. I do a lot of walking and moving around. The pains themselves occur randomly, though they typically don't occur until I have been working for at least three hours. Sometimes the pains happen more frequently than other times. For instance today I had three of the sharp pains within less than five minutes. I did not have another sharp pain for four hours after that, and only had one sharp pain. I have not had one for the rest of the day. Yesterday, my one and only day off, I had only one and it was the first time I had one while I was sitting down.
Does this sound normal? Does this sound like something bad? I'm just a little worried but I also feel like I'm being a big pest when I bother my doctor frequently, so I also feel that if my question can wait, I'll wait for my appointment. Any thoughts? Thank you all so much in advance. (This group is a life-saver for me!)
(EDIT: I will be 31 weeks as of tomorrow if that helps any.)
