Yeah effing right.

Maybe Im doing it wrong, but that is pretty out in left field for me.
If I didnt know better I would have thought a man came up with the idea.

that's what I'm thinking. The only time I could have even veered into a feeling of ecstasy was when they gave me my stadol. lol

Each time she had a contraction she would cry out, 'Oh, baby, I love it. More...more!'

I think it can happen.

At very least, birth doesn't have to be the screaming "OMG, kill me plz" scenario you see on TV and hear about from family/friends. My daughters labor/birth was very peaceful and I alos had an unassisted childbirth- I think a large part of my positive experience is derived from the lack of interference from anyone.

Love it. That made me happy :)

I guess it can happen, but I'm too pessimistic to see that it ever could happen. I would think you'd really have to be in tune with your body and completely not let anyone get involved or disturb you.

All I can remember is sitting in the recovery room after my section and hearing the woman screaming for it to be over. That is the first thing I remember hearing after my c-section. So because of that, I don't think birth can be peaceful or orgasmic. I know she's not every woman, but hearing that proved to me that birth can be dramatic and VERY painful.

I never said it's not possible, I just don't have the faith nor hope it will ever happen to me.

While my birth wasn't orgasmic, it was very peaceful and enjoyable. I definitely believe it can happen.

There's a small part of me who just snorted reading all that. There's a large part of me who hopes it's true! I had an epidural with my first, but I will not be this time (reaction to the drugs, doing it med-free this time).

I guess I'm a freak, because I love giving birth. It's never been orgasmic--yet haha--but each birth was magical and wonderful to me.

I'm inclined to believe that a lot of it is truly mind power. People tend to forget that the mind is a very powerful thing. If you go into labor and birth fearing that you'll be in major pain, you'll end up convincing yourself of the worst and likely end up feeling a lot of pain and discomfort than if you had a more positive outlook.

I'd like to think the general attitude of the woman laboring has a large effect on how painful it ends up being.

My contractions certainly weren't orgasmic, they were pretty horrible, but pushing him out didn't really hurt and was rather enjoyable. I believe it could be orgasmic if you have the right mindset.
